NASHVILLE, TN -- As Fireflight continues to pound the pavement, the Dove Award Artist Of The Year nominee is excited to hit the road for its second headlining tour. Beginning in October, Fireflight will take the stage for a run of dates with New Artist Of The Year nominee Remedy Drive (Word) and emerging new artist ABANDON (Forefront/EMI) for The HOPE Tour. Fireflight lead singer, Dawn Michele, is looking forward to the tour, “We are so stoked to be out on the road with our friends from Remedy Drive and Abandon! We are always thrilled to be a part of a dynamic line-up, and this will certainly prove to be one.”

The idea for The HOPE Tour started with Fireflight’s undying support of Legacy Of Hope International (LOHI), which serves to help put a stop to the human trafficking and child sex trade industry in Cambodia. The organization works to build schools in poverty stricken areas, giving children a place to call home and receive an education. Fireflight drummer, Phee Shorb, shares, “Something that we love about LOHI is that they are working against a seemingly hopeless situation. In Cambodia, there are so many orphans that are continually being taken advantage of by the sex slave trade. Thankfully, there is LOHI, working to make a difference and restore hope in the face of hopelessness.”

Also joining the tour will be a “Hope Coach” from TheHopeLine.com, a website sponsored by the radio ministry of Dawson McAllister Live. “We wanted to not only touch on the topic of hope from a global perspective, but from a local one as well,” Dawn continues. “We know that many of our fans, especially the young ones, are facing hopeless situations of their own. We read from our Myspace messages and other online outlets that our young fans deal with abuse of all kinds: addiction, suicidal thoughts, cutting, etc. At our shows, we expect these people to come in, feeling like they're barely making it through life, but leaving with hope.”

Joining Fireflight in this mission of Hope is Word Records band Remedy Drive (www.remedydrive.com), who recently celebrated 6 weeks at the top of the CHR chart with their breakout single, "All Along." They also took the stage at over 20 festivals this summer, and are excited for this fall. “We are glad to be going out with such great rock bands,” comments lead singer David Zach. “We've been running into Fireflight and Abandon at festivals this summer and both of their sets are really entertaining. All of us in Remedy Drive are excited to see everyone on this tour.”

Forefront Records artist ABANDON (www.abandonrock.com), having released their debut album Searchlights on August 25th, couldn't be more excited to be a part of this tour. Lead singer Josh Engler explains, “Touring with both Fireflight and Remedy Drive on our first national tour is a huge blessing. We're excited to share our music and the message of hope.” ABANDON has had two #1 Christian Rock songs, and have recently released “Safe In Your Arms” to CHR radio.

Fireflight is coming off the heels of a breakout sophomore album with Unbreakable (2008), debuting at No. 10 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart following NBC’s feature of the title track in network TV promos for “Bionic Woman.” Along with stellar 5-star reviews, Unbreakable has garnered three No. 1 rock singles with “The Hunger,” “Stand Up” and the blockbuster title track which held the top spot at Christian rock radio for 4 weeks, as well as a Top Ten at Christian hit radio. Fireflight was named Gospel Music Channel’s first “Listen Up” Artist of the Month in April 2008. Fireflight’s music has been heard on E! Entertainment’s “Style Network” and in music video reels at both American Eagle and Journey’s stores across the country. The band also performed during the “Winter X Games 13” in Aspen, Colorado on the Taco Bell stage as winner of Taco Bell’s inaugural “Feed the Beat” fan-voted promotion.
